Happy National Lighthouse Day!
The one day a year that Mama doesn't
seem totally cray-cray about her obsession love of Lighthouses! We tried to pick just one lighthouse to profile...but we couldn't narrow it down. So we thought we show you some of our favorites we have seen over the past few years. If you click on it's name, we will magically transport you to a page where you can read more about the lighthouse!
Here I am in from of the Heceta Head Lighthouse
The Trinidad Head Memorial Lighthouse isn't a working lighthousem but it is a pretty one. It recently has been moved from the location above to...
....this location
Next up we have the Battery Point Lighthouse in Crescent City, California. It's located on a hill and can only be visited during low tide!
It's also where Angel Dory met the Doodz!!
Here we have the Coquille River Lighthouse in Bandon Oregon!
Angel Dory and I visited this lighthouse during our 2016 Lighthouse Tour!
This is the Cape Arago Lighthouse
Mama and I(and Angel Dory)spent a long time driving around trying to find this one!
Last, but not least, we have the Meares Lighthouse we visited last Summer during the Mini BAR. Mama especially loves the lens on this Lighthouse.
We hope you enjoyed our little lighthouse tour
and maybe learned a little bit about a few of the lighthouses here on the west coast of the USA!
(Kilauea Lighthouse above is on the island of Kauai)
Show us your lighthouses hop aboard!
wow you visited so much wonderful lighthouses! The mama is a BIG fan of lighthouses too, but she wants one with an elevator and wihout stairs... have you seen such a lighthouse once?
ReplyDeleteOregon does have some lovely lighthouses and spectacular ocean views! It's nice that pups can enjoy the sites along our coastline as well. Happy Lighthouse Day!!

You have been to so many beautiful lighthouses! They always have the most gorgeous settings, don't they. Happy National Lighthouse Day!
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to see lighthouses, but there are none around here. The closest one is about a three hour drive. If we had some around, we would have joined the hop.

ReplyDeleteR E D!! My peeps would love to see your West Coast Beauties
Thanks for pawticipating in the fun event. We are enjoying all the lighthouses in Blogville.
Hugs madi and mom
I'm sad that we couldn't pawticipate in Lighthouse Day, but I'm supposed to be resting and not visiting lighthouses. Boo!
ReplyDeleteI love that red lens, my favorite of the ones you showed is the Battery Point, not only the lighthouse but the trees and stones and beach. just a beautiful spot.. I can see why they have a lighthouse because the beach would be dangerous for boats... thanks for the blog hop. I was amazed at Yams over in UK... so many beautiful lighthouses, who knew
ReplyDeleteThose are all so beautiful! It's crazy to think of them moving a lighthouse!

Those are really wonderful lighthouses gang, you picked nicely!
ReplyDeleteWhile it's the only one I've seen (being a landlubber has at least one disadvantage) the Heceta Head Lighthouse is my favorite lighthouse, having visited it a couple of times. Always a beautiful spot-day or night, it touches my soul with that misty grey surrounding it. Loved your lighthouse tour!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the share. You would be excellent tour guides for the lighthouses. We love learning about each one that you showed us. We really like the Trinidad Head Memorial Lighthouse the most. Great to see you having so much fun in the photos. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteWorld of Animals
Wow! Those were some beautiful pictures! (It was nice to see Dory again too!)
ReplyDeleteI am really enjoying all of the beautiful lighthouses! Thanks so much to you and Madi for this fun hop. Those of us who never see lighthouses love to read about the local ones of our friends.
ReplyDeleteWe are a bit jealous of all the beautiful lighthouses that you have visited!
