Flower Friday on FFHT

Happy last weekly Flower Friday of the Summer! Although we love the summer with all it's beautiful color, we love that the days are getting cooler and are hoping the rain isn't far behind!
After today, we will be moving our Flower Fridays to the second Friday of the month.  Luckily we can find flowers here on the Northern Coast of California most of the year, and we encourage you all to join us!!

Today is also FFHT Friday!! Where we take the excerpt given to us by Murphy and Stanley and incorporate it into our post!
To read more about FFHT visit Murphy and Stanley by clicking HERE of on the FFHT badge above!

This month's excerpt to add is:
"And that's why my toes turned purple . . ."  which leads to today's story......

It all started when we headed to Sequoia Gardens to see what looks to be the last Dahlia blooms of the summer...

As you can see, many of the flowers are getting a bit ragged along the edges

Some are still thriving, tho

and there are even some with a few buds left!

When Mama and I got to the gazebo, she asked me why my pawsies were were a funny pinky purple
Hmmmmmm, that is a very good question, Mama!

We forgot about for a bit as we gazed at all the beautiful flowers!
Some with pointy leaves

Others with rounded leaves

 Such rich and beautiful colors

Most of them were a pretty purple-y....WAIT!!!

MAMAMAMAMAMA....
This is purple Flower Fairy dust!!! From all these purple-y pink flowers I have been walking in!!!

And that's why my toes turned purple . . .!!!
Thanks so much for joining us on our Sequoia Park Gardens walkies!

Here is a video of our walk showing all the flowers we saw!
