Today we are remembering our furry family members who have gone to the Rainbow Bridge.
Addie Cat May 1987 - July 2005 |
Addie was Mama's first Adult Pet. Through good times and bad, Addie stuck by her side.
You can read all about Miss Addie HERE
Mama can still be seen crying for Miss Dory when she thinks we're not looking. They had a very special bond Mama had never shared with a pup before. Dory was patient with all the silly costumes Mama had her wear and loving from the day she came home, until the moment she left this earth. Dory's paws will be hard to fill, but the most important thing she taught Mama was there is always room in your heart to love another pup!
We miss you everyday Angel Dory!
Bilbo was the pup who broke Mama and Daddy in for us. He was their first pet as a married couple. Diligent and a bit OCD, Bilbo did his best to boss Mama and Daddy around until he had them pretty much trained(although they do need constant refresher sessions by us!).
We can almost hear Bilbo bark every night at bedtime for us to get moving!
We miss you big guy!
We are so very thankful for the beautiful Angels we have had in our lives. Every one of them has left a paw print on our hearts!

ReplyDeleteawwww, fond, fond memories. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Dory ... Bilbo ... we remember them both, with much fondness and joy for the times shared.
ReplyDeleteAnd both are truly missed.
Addie Cat...you were a beautiful Calio!!
ReplyDeleteDory
You two were 2 of Madi's first blogging friends. Dory, Madi never told me about those Girl's night out flings you two had; however, I'm suspecting you 2 might have been taking TWERKING lessons. I was so honored to have met you, Arty and Momma....and thank you for tolerating this old lady's wish to have you sit in my lap.
Bilbo thank you for training you parents so well....as I told Madi many times...she should be thankful Milky-Way trained us so well.
(and thank you for quietly tolerating my many months of misspelling your name as Bilbro sometimes..I worked for a Professor whose last name was Bilbro)
Hugs Cecilia and I hope your Momma is home by now
I forgot about today being rainbow bridge remembrance day. The same as you, I'm sure, I think about mine every day. And, often there are some tears. Bless you today, and everyone who has lost one or more dear friend that they love.
ReplyDeleteThey are always and forever in our hearts♥
ReplyDeleteI did not know about the rememerance day. I remember Dory and when I saw her sweet face again I did get tears. my hubby had that special bond you are talking about having with Dory, his was Jake. they bonded from day one, attached at the hip, Jake was 100 percent Bob's dog.. Now I have mine in Big boy... and our hearts never get over their loss
ReplyDeleteMomma remembers Casey and Dory meeting at the BAR. Dory was so confused why Casey posed so well without cookies!
ReplyDeleteThis is a bittersweet day for many of us, but it's ever so important to remember our precious babies that have gone to the bridge. I know they are waiting for us.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
Hugs to all of you as you remember those special Angels.
ReplyDeleteWoooooooooooooooooooooooooooHoooooooooooooooooooooo on being home.
ReplyDeletedid you get a video of your homecoming. I bet the tails were wagging faster than greased lightning...and Ed's smile was brighter than the hot sun of Texas.
Hugs HiC
We never forget our angels. We fondly remember our patron saint, Old Charisma, Miss Ginger, and Joey dog today and every day!
ReplyDeleteIt is so tough to bear those losses, especially when they are so close together as Dory and Bilbo were. We found you after those losses, and wish we'd gotten to know those two. We're so glad your Mom has all of you to help ease the pain and remind her of happy memories.

It's those pawprints on your heart that bubble up at strange moments giving you happy memories.
ReplyDeleteWe did not know Addie Cat, but she was so pretty. We also miss Dory and Bilbo, - two of our earliest blogging pals. Your Mama did good writing about them. Ours was lucky to just post their photos without a big flow of tears.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Each of our special fur babies has something to teach us and prepare us for the next ones to love. And they hold such special places in our hearts
