Where the Ocean Meets the Forest #NatureFriday

This week I(Arty) want to take you for a little stroll along one of my favorite places, Stone Lagoon.  Mama and I both like this walkie because we can walk a loop where, on the first part, we see a redwood forest while we look for a local herd of Roosevelt Elk(we haven't found them yet, but I keep looking!),

AND...

...The other way is a pretty stretch of beach along my ocean where I can get my paws in the sand(and Mama can sniff the fresh salt air)!

We see all sorts of nature along this walk. Here we have a noisy Raven bird trying to act all reserved and stately.

There are also bunches of driftwood where I can practiced my posing!

On the way back to the car, we walk through a field of Sand Verbena! Also, if you look closely, you'll see a big log. I got to jump over it(you can see me doing that in Mamas video below)

Mama has featured Sand Verbena in past posts, but here is a close another close up for those who may not have seen these pretty flowers yet.

We found some pretty driftwood nature too! I wonder if maybe a family of gnomes live here?!

It's hard to put into words just how pretty this walkie can be so I had Mama put together a short video to show you.

You can see it HERE on YouTube!

Thanks for joining me for my walkie where the ocean meets the forest.

We hope you all have the chance to get out this weekend and enjoy some nature!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE

  7. Oh Arty and Mama what a beautiful walkie and the sound of the Pacific roaring made for a very nice background during your walkie. OMDs I rate that daring jump at 87,000% perfect.
I'm wondering if Mama jumped to or did she walk around?
