Flowers on Nature Friday(ABQ-BG Part 2)

Rosy here on this beautiful Nature Friday for Part 2 of Mama's trip to the Albuquerque Botanical Garden!

This week we're going to meander around the Mediterranean Conservatory and see some pretty flowers.

The bromeliad have us wishing for some tropical weather instead of the cool winds and snow flurries in the forecast this week.

The reds are so very dreamy....

...and the white bromeliad seem to glow in the sunlight

Hmmmm Mama, I don't think Cyclamen grows in just the Mediterranean but I do love the red flowers. Plus, look at the design on the leaves, very cool!

This is Aeschynanthus Radicans, also known as the Lipstick Plant. The maroon flowers do kinda look like one of Mama's lipstick tubes.

These flowers are warming me up already! Let's see what else Mama found.

Here we have a bloom from the Fan Aloe plan.
Of course, Mama loves the orange!

A pretty pink Forest Lily

You can count on Mama to almost always find an Orchid, they are her "lighthouse" of flowers!

Last, but certainly not least, Mama's(and mine too) favorite flower she saw on this particular day, the Peppermint Geranium. It was so delicate and small, yet check out the beautiful shades of pink and the bright orange of its stamen!

Thanks so much for joining us for this flowery edition of Nature Friday, we hope it helped warm those in chillier climates!

We hope you all get out and see some colorful nature this weekend!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE  to go to our Hoppity Page.

Hmmm yes, well, although most of those plants will indeed grow around Mediterranean regions, none of them are native to those parts! SE Asia, South Africa, South America... the nearest to being local is, amazingly, the cyclamen, hailing from Türkiye and the Levant... But golly, Rosy, does it matter? They are all so furry purrty!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
