Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. This week, we are turning the time machine back a few years. Mama has been wishing for tropical views and thought some of you(with the exception of some good friends from the great state of MN) might be feeling the same way. So for your viewing pleasure, today we are are traveling back to beautiful Maui and have....
Some tropical sunrises....
A Lotus flower from the rainforest
Some beautiful waterfalls....
Some colorful flowers AND a waterfall
But wait, that's not all!!
A beautiful black sand beach....
Mama says she is so happy she has pictures of the beautiful Lahaina Banyan Tree, because a few years later a lot of it, and Lahaina was lost to a horrible fire. Luckily, the tree and the town are showing signs of growing back!
Here is a cute little shore bird
...and finally, a beautiful view of the ocean!
OH...and for our friends up north,
We hope our tropical views warmed you up a little!
Are you going to get out and see some nature this weekend??

ReplyDeleteOh that was like a mini-break holiday - thanks gals! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Pretty warm photos of the tropics. We are enjoying a deep freeze but it is going to get warmer again which is a bummer. Paws crossed for some snow but you never know. We are still shocked and sad about Gail. We don't know what happened to her but her passing came out of nowhere and she will be missed. It is so nice to remember her with this blog hop.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post for all today. Here in NC we go from frozen tundra with teens at night last week to 50's at night and into the 70's several days next week. That is a OK with Aunty C and Uncle B. for we know Mother Nature and Old Man Winter are stalking us.
Many hugs and thank you for the beautiful idea to honor Gail on Nature Friday

ReplyDeleteOur Mom is delighted to see photos of warm and sunny Hawaii. It has been so cold here and damp, but no snow to speak. Rosy, you know we would love to see snow too. Today we have freezing rain:(.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are so pretty there and we think it is a wonderful way to honor Gail.
