Travel Tuesday - 2024 River of Lights

A coupke of weeks ago, on Mama's Birthday, she and Daddy went out ALONE on a DATE!
First they went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory(one of Mama's favorites).....

...and then, Daddy took Mama to see the River of Lights. Set up at the Botanic Gardens, along the Rio Grande River, the River of Lights has every kind of light display!
(You might remember the pawrents went there LAST YEAR too)

From Zebras.....

To butterflies, the lights were just spectacular!

All of the lights are so very colorful!

Mama put a video together. Watch until the end to see the cool model train footage!

(As always, feel free to visit our YouTube Channel HERE)

The pawrents got to see BIGFOOT....

...and DINOSAURS!!!

Mama says the creativity put into this light display every year is amazing. Last year they saw similar lights, but set up in a very different way!!

I bet you are surprised to hear the Model Trains were Mama and Daddy's favorite exhibit. lights, along with the different way the villages were decorated, were stunning!

Needless to say, Mama really enjoyed her birthday evening.
Don't worry, we made sure she got lots
of birthday snuggles from us when she got home.
Thanks for tagging along to the River of Lights this year. Mama is already looking forward to next year's display!

  6. now this is a way to celebrate, I would have loved every moment. there are so many that I thought, this is my favorite. the train is adorable and I think I leaned towards all the sea critters and I laughed at the alien spaceship and wondered if there were any REAL drones. Ha Ha. bet you would not see them if they were hovering.
its a gorgeous place. Jungle Gardens and Selby Gardens here have these light shows, but I have never seen them...
