Mama and I went for our morning walk as usual this morning. We always have fun on our walks...kitties, squirrels, other doggies out walking their Mama's. This morning was a little different...This morning we saw a doggie who had lost his Mama!!! This was just horrible...Poor Mama was so very worried that he might forget to look both ways and a car might get him that she scooped him up and carried him all the way home!! He has no collar and no taggies so we took him to the V-E-T office and he is not chipped. Mama says that we are making an appointment to get chipped right away and if you are not chipped...you should really think hard about it, Found Puppy may have gotten home right away if he was chipped. We have also called the pounds and are going to put signs up around the neighborhood. We will also being putting an ad on Craig's List to see if we can find his lost Mama. He was groomed, so we think that his lost Mama might think he is lost and is sad...We all know it is no fun to have a sad Mama.
We also wanted to put his picture up here so we could ask you to help by emailing his picture to anyone you might know in Texas that could know his Mama. He looks a bunch like Mona...so with think part Doxie...and maybe part Bichon...and maybe even part Lhasa like ME! We think he is under the age of 1 cause he really likes to play and has ENDLESS energy plus he has not been tutored.
We are hoping and praying that by the end of the day Found Puppy will be reunited with his lost Mama. My Mama can't even imagine why anyone would not want this friendly guy...

ReplyDeleteWe are both chipped - it is a good thing if you get lost and also if you lose your collar as we often do when we take off after the deer.

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are getting chipped. It hurts....but momma says its nice knowing we have ID on at all times. Tell your momma not to look at the needle...It's kinda big.

Our Mommy finds doggies wandering our neighborhood all the time and it makes her so angry that no one bothers with collars, tags, or microchipping. We have all of that because she would be lost without us! Hope he finds his mom soon - and thank you for taking him in, we know our Mommy would be glad you did if it was us!

Good luck finding the puppy's Momma! Thanks for picking him and bringing him home with you - it would be terrible if something bad happened to that little pup! BTW - my doggie was micro-chipped, and it didn't hurt one tiny bit when it was done. I know, I was standing right there when it was implanted. Yes it's a long needle, but she didn't even wince - so don't worry about that.

ReplyDeleteAll 4 of us are chipped. Even the kittehs who never leave the house. My momma is super duper paranoid. Um, I mean, cautious.

What a cutie! I'm sure his humans are out there looking. I saw a lost Greyhound recovered quickly thanks to blogs & facebook, hopefully the same will happen for this little guy. So kind of your momma to take him in!

How nice of your mom to look after him. That is one of my worst fears that Jack would get lost and I wouldn't be able to find him. He got his chip before he got to come home with me - which I think is a very smart thing to do!

ReplyDeleteHe is totally adorable! My standard poodle pup, ICE was altered & chipped....2 weeks later I found the chip in his fur while checking for ticks. Here is another good tip....if you chip your best furend ( which is a very good idea) every time you visit your Vet, ask to have his chip scanned!=^Y^=Holly & ICE

Lost puppy looks really cute. I just know his Mommy will find him. If not, you and your Mommy found him just in time. Maybe his Mommy was waiting for him to be old enough to be tutored.

That puppy is so lucky he's safe with you. We found a lost pitbull who had lost his collar. The lucky thing was not just that he was microchipped, but his owner had just made sure to change her phone number when she moved. I think that's the last thing we remember...changing a microchip phone number if we move.

The nice Mary Lady I met on Sunday found a sweet beagle a few months ago - a few days after that, she found her people -
The lady had been khrying since she eskhaped that Saturday - and they didn't reunite them until Tuesday -
