Flower Friday - Goodbye to Summer

With summer ending, Mama and I made one last trip to Sequoia Garden see the Dahlias before they are gone....

She spent lots of time watching this silly bee playing on a flower

Ummmm...MAMA, we are here to see the Dahlias!!

There are still dahlias blooming, but it seems there are more brown edges and wilting petals in the garden.

The Bell Flowers are blooming, but their stalks and leaves are mostly brown...

These yellow beauties seem to still be going strong...

...along with this pretty pink edged dahlia

You can see the wilting petals on the back dahlia...

...and on this sunrise colored dahlia...

This poor thing has definitely seen better days...

...but these pink petaled lovelies are looking great!

Mama and I put together a slide show of more flowers too!

We get to have snacks while we watch it, right Mama???

The good thing about the end of summer is the circle of life will help this year's blooms fertilize the grounds for more beautiful blooms next summer!

Hop aboard and show us the flowers blooming in your corner of the world (If you don't see the link here, please click HERE to go to our Hoppity page)!!
