Thursday Travel Tails - Indiana

Welcome to another episode of Thursday Travel Tails!
This week Arty and I are going to tell you about the time we spent in Indiana!

We already told you all about the fun we had t the BAR...but
we didn't tell you all the other fun things about Indiana!!

Let's start with the Rest Areas!

The rest areas were pretty with lots of grass and big play areas for us to play in.

Mama also liked all the pretty flower containers!
Mama here, these were similar to the rest areas we found through out the MidWest. Clean facilities, lots of picnic tables and grassy areas for the pups to play in.

We stayed at a Red Roof Inn while we were in Indiana.
We enjoyed it because all our friends were staying there. Plus,  there were LOTS of great smells in the room...

Mama said something about there being a bit too many smells though....
Mama here, I was NOT impressed with the rooms at the Red Roof Inn. They smelled like a kennel and were not as clean as I felt they could be. While the staff was very nice,  the management seemed to not care about what their guests thought. Unfortunately, this stay really turned me off to Red Roof Inns. Chances are I won't be staying at another one.

But Mama...what about the big outdoor fields surrounding the hotel!!

There was a great big field where we played every morning and every evening!!

But, the best thing about the hotel was being able to be close and visit with our furiends! I got to sit on YaYa Aunty's lap, PLUS we stayed right next door to Casey and Jessie!!

...and Madi's Mama, HiC,  stayed right above us!!
So Mama, although the hotel wasn't a 5 Star place, we did have a fun time!!

Mama, Arty and I didn't remember how much beautiful scenery was in Indiana until we came back and looked at all the pictures Mama took!!

First, there was Brown County State Park, this is where we met all our Blogville furiends at the BAR.

Not only was it a great place to meet, but look at the beautiful views!!

We took a ride around the park and couldn't believe how green and beautiful it was!!

There were so much nature to see and appreciate in the rest of Indiana too!

Beautimous Tiger Lilies...

...and pretty skies...

...and colorful sunsets!!

As we headed home, Mama took us on a big
Covered Bridge hunt in (mostly) Putnam County, Indiana!!

Mama says she let us off easy because, out of the almost 100 covered bridges in Indiana, she only made us go took us to see four of them!

I guess they weren't too bad...and it did make Mama happy!!

We really enjoyed Indiana and, if we ever drive across the country again, we will make sure to drive through it again!!

Join us next week when Arty will take you through New Mexico!!

OMD you bring back such fond memories!!! ... and not so fond. Having to sleep on the floor to get a night's sleep at the Red Roof, for example... but as you say, the company overcame all those negatives!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  6. Looks like fun! I traveled to Clemson for a dog show in January and to Montgomery, AL for another show, so I know how pawsome it is to stay at hotels!
