October in Pawesome!

As most of you know, October is "Adopt a Shelter Pet" month!!  As you might remember, Jakey and I, Arty, came from a shelter.

This is why we decided Halloween would always mean:

No Tricks, Just Treats for Shelters!

This year we will be holding our Fourth Annual Blog Hop/Fundraiser from October 26th thru October 28th(Friday through Sunday). We will be donating $1 for every blog hop entry! Just publish your Halloween post letting us know how you have helped (or plan on helping) a shelter near you! That's right, just show us how you are enjoying Halloween and how you helped (or are going to help) a shelter near you and link up to the hop.

Here are some ideas for helping:
First of all,  if you are looking for a new pet, consider adopting a Shelter or Rescue Organization Pet! Here are some ways we have helped in the past:

1. It is starting to get cold outside, gather up and donate any gently used blankies, towels and sheets to your local shelter.

2. Next time your Mama is buying you foodables, ask her to pick up(or order) an extra bag (or a few extra cans) to donate to your local shelter.

3. Do you have a gently used toy maybe you didn't like, but some other doggy might,  put it in a pile to donate to a shelter.

4. Many shelters have "wish lists" on their websites. Check and see if your shelter has one and see if there is anything you or your peeps might have around the house you can donate.

5. Do you know about Amazon Smile? Every time you make an eligible purchase from Amazon Smile a portion of the proceeds goes to the charity of your choice. Click HERE to learn more!

 6. One of the ways we want to help is by donating $1 for every link to the Treats for Shelters Blog Hop to the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter (where Arty and Jakey stayed before they were adopted ).  We will also be donating 50 cents for every comment here at  LLB from October 26th through October 28th. We will split the money raised from commenting between two of Blogville's favorite rescues; Legacy Boxer Rescue (they rescued Matilda and her Angel Bro Casey and Angel Sis Jessie) and Marg's Animals, Marg helps keep kitties(and two very cute donkeys) safe!

Remember...All you have to do is write Halloween post and publish it between October 26th through October 28th  letting us know how you are helping(or planning to help) your local Shelter then link up to our Blog Hop (make sure to stop by and leave us a comment between the 26th and the 28th)!

Here is Rosy with a special announcement too!
Thanks Arty! My friend Speckles and I wanted to tell everypawdy about a fun idea I had for Halloween this year!!

I thought it would be fun for everypawdy to share(publish a post) their favorite scary story and hop aboard the Blogville Haunted Halloween Blog Hop! I talked my brothers into helping me host a Haunted House so, after we're done listening to scary stories,  we can have fun scaring each other!!

If you want to be part of the Haunted House, send Mama a picture. You can be dressed up, or Mama can dress you up. If you do NOT want to be a part of the Haunted House, let us know. We will probably be using pictures we have gotten in the past along with the new photos and want to make sure we respect what everypawdy wants!

Boy, October sure is FUN!

  7. You all look fabulous in your outfits today. We would love to participate in your haunted house. Maybe if our significant others, Fenris for Millie and Tuiren with Walter, from "Alasandra, The Cats and Dogs" blog want to go too we could go through the haunted stuff with them?

Thanks for all you are doing for the shelters. We will have to get our pawrents to think of something to do for one around here. Unfortunately the rescue where we came from is no longer around.
