Autumn has officially arrived here in the high desert of New Mexico!
The temperatures are dropping into the 40s and staying that way until the sun is up!
and LOOK...we actually have a maple tree changing color!
Mama is so excited!!
Our tree started off yellowish brown and turning a bit redder everyday!
We've had all kind of birdies stopping by and saying hello..
The road runners have been passing through looking for lizards....
This Northern Flicker has been hanging out near our bird feeders
All in all, we are loving our first Autumn in New Mexico
How are you liking Autumn so far??
Nobby and I are loving our Autumn in Scotland and loving your Autumn in New Mexico. The Northern flicker, unfamiliar to us, is most distinctive.
ReplyDeleteCheers! Gail.
we love all ths colors and the berds who visit you... and we love your orange bow tie... it looks super cute
ReplyDeleteNew Mexico has a beautiful autumn and we are sure loving ours her in Connecticut!

ReplyDeleteOh, your autumn reminds me of autumns in OZ... here on the westie coast of the Bonny Land there has been far too much of the wet stuff and wind to have the sort of colourful time you are having. The prevailing colours are mud and camo. Oh well. I shall enjoy through your eyes instead! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
We love the leaves when they fall and we can sniff all the critter smells in them. Mom rakes us up a pile to play in too. Enjoy your fall.
ReplyDeleteNiece Rosy. First and foremost I LOVE X 87 you bow. Your maple tree is gorgeous WOW I bet it reminds Mama of falls on the east coast when she was younger.

Your yard looks so pretty in all its autumn glory. We have lots of beautiful fall color in our yard too.
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "You have quite the collection of birds there!"
ReplyDeleteChaplin: "We like birds."
Charlee: "Yes we do."
Chaplin: "Not the road runner though. That one is a little big and scary."
Charlee: "Yes it is. Especially if you are a coyote, like Lulu."
Lulu: "I am not really a coyote. I just look like one."
Charlee: "Tell it to the road runner, Lulu."
wonderful lighting on the jay and Rosie is the pin up girl
ReplyDeleteWonderful series of Autumn photos and your doggie is just the cutest ~ Xo

Beautiful autumn in your backyard.
ReplyDeleteHave a woof woof day and weekend. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
Your autumn is looking totally fabulous beautiful Rosy!
ReplyDeleteHi Rosie. Don't let that roadrunner get all your lizzies. We have lots of colored leafs on our maples and our oaks (that I'm allergic to) and all the other trees around us, too. And a chipmunk has finally shown his face, but moves so fast back and forth in the back yard that it's about impossible to catch him. XOXOX Your bestie, Xena
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing hour beautiful yard with us
ReplyDeleteRosy - your autumn is beautiful. It looked like you and your dad had a great time together. You are very lucky to get to travel! Lee and Phod
