Going to see a MOUSE??

This morning the Mama sat Bilbo and I down and broke the news that her and Daddy were going away for a lonnnnngggggg weekend and Nanny Ree would be coming to take care of us.
I said I do not mind Mama, I like Nanny Ree BUT where are you GOING???

She said something about a big mouse named Mickey and meeting some family for
some fun! I asked Mommy why couldn't I go...and you know what???
For a park that is run BY A MOUSE...they do not let doggies in unless they
are "companion doggies" (these are not to be confused with dogs that just keep their humans company...I asked).

Disney-2009
ANYWAY....Mommy said she was taking our mini mees with us...

WHAT???

They will let Doggy STUFFIES in, but not the real cuddly warm kind???

Dory-in-Denial
I am in denial...there is no mini Dory stuffie...
there is no mini Dory stuffie

Mini-Bilbo
Bilbo says "Have fun Mini Bilbo stuffie...
I do not like adventure, and I like Nanny Ree ok"

Disney-2009
That Mini Dory Stuffie better sleep with one eye open...
she may be missing some stuffing in the morning!!

Mama and Daddy are leaving on Thursday, and Mama says I am NOT allowed on the computer while they are gone. We will catch up on your bloggies next Monday night and Tuesday. Mama is going to try to "schedule" a couple of posts but is NOT going to mention any football game scores 'cause this weekend there will be NO JINXIES!

  1. Umm - we don't want to "throw a monkeywrench" in the plans, but we know that Disneyland has a kenneling service for doggies.

    Hope your peeps have fun.

  2. No doggies at Disney World! Has anyone told that to Goofy? I think maybe someone is playing a trick on you and Bilbo. I bet if you dressed up in a mouse costume they'd let you in.

  5. Ohhhh Dory, I am sad you don't get to go see the giant mouse. Your mini me will have to tell you all about it. Don't fret to much, you will have such fun with your Auntie...they like to spoil more than moms and dads :)

  6. Dory, you remind me of Abby - her mommy is going away too. Well, hope they have fun with the mouse. I hear he's very adorable and a lot of fun. My neighbor's dog has a red leather collar with a mouse on it that her momma brought back for her from a place called Disney World. Maybe you'll get something like that too.

  7. How can it be "The Happiest Place On Earth" if it doesn't allow dogs?!

  8. Dory and Bilbo,
I hate to be left at home too. Just isnt the same being left at one of the kid's house. It shouldnt be bad being at home with your aunt.

You can always work the babysitter, like mom gives you ice cream before bed time or an extra treat here and there and she will never know!!!

I bet your mom will bring home treats and surprizes for you and Bilbo.
    Have fun!!

  9. Hi Dory,

It's high time for you to scheme an escape plan with Bilbo to join mommy and daddy in the mouse house. You can outsmart the Mickey anytime.

  10. I go along with what Dennis said. How can it be a Happy place with no puppies? Sigh!

If there bags aren't packed too tight, you could just jump in with Bilbo and go along for the ride!

    Have fun!

    Kisses,
    Stella

  11. Hmm. Mini Mes? I gotta talk to Mom about this. Because Mom is leaving tonight (TONIGHT?!?) and won't be back until TUESDAY! And does she have a Mini ME?!? No!!! And the Mouse House not allowing dogs? Couldn't you two just wear little orange vests that say 'service dog' on them? No one would have to know that the service you provide is additional cuteness. I'm just sayin'...

(And wish me luck. I'm not sure Dad knows where the dog food is!)

  13. Hi there Dory,
Worry not, your backyard is gives us lots of fun and happiness in our world so if the Mouse Kingdom won't take us in then we ain't missing a thing. We do wish that your pawrents have a great time this weekend with your mini-stuffies.
We look forward to hearing from you whenever your mom gets the chance to.
We do have to say though that your photo as well as Bilbo's with your mini-stuffies are really sooooo cuddly! Stay full of cuteness, alright!

  15. I love the mini-mes! I'm sorry Dory doesn't get to go with you. If Dory wants to come out here, we can all go to the mountains together!

  16. Very clever. Those stuffies will keep things under control in mouse-land.

  18. It is shocking Dory that a Mouse is not letting doggies in to Disneyland!
We hope you mom has fun but we think you should paw a letter of complaint!
Remember to include a piece of cheese!

  19. Hi Dory and Bilbo!
Doesn't sound much like a Magic Kingdom with no doggies.

  21. I know how you feel, Dory. Mom can't hardly bare to part with me (she had a mini-me being custom made currently....), yet she insists on visiting places where no doggies can follow! I have been into some fun no-dogs-allowed places (she took me into a state liquor store once..), but still - I don't get it! She wants me to "settle down" so I can be an official therapy dog, cause she thinks it'll buy me passage to more places... ...told her I'd have to get back to her on that!
Hey, at least you aren't going to the "spa" (kennel, they don't have me fooled anymore), so enjoy your time with Nanny Ree!!

  22. That is too bad, Dory and Bilbo, but it sounds like they will have a good time. Maybe if they are taking the mini mees with them, they need to leave you with some minis of them too:)

  23. That is just so not fair. How can a park run by a mouse not allow cute furry dogs in? I hope your parents have fun. I know you will miss them like crazy.:(

  25. They should build a place just for dogs don't you think? It could have miniature pools, woods, agility courses, birds, robotic kitties to chase after...sounds like fun to me. By the way Dori, I received the Paw it Forward presents. Thank you so much! I'll be sure to Paw it Forward.

    Woof!

  27. A MOUSE!? They are leaving you to go see a large rodent related to those things in the back yard with fluffy tails?! Dory, I think we need to stage an intervention....

  29. Dory and Bilbo, I don't get it either. I hate when Mommy goes away, but it does sound like your Nanny Ree is ok. I mean if Bilbo likes her, she must be ok right? The expression on your little Dory face with your eyes closed is so cute. Please do give them "The Look" so that you get lots of pressies while they are gone. I will miss you and look forward to next week, when all is back to normal.

    licks and sniff, Sasha
