I am ever so ummmm ok with the fact you came to visit. You were pretty well behaved and I only had to tell you a few times to leave me alone. I didn't mind the continuous butt smelling too much

You were all cutesy, so my Mama AND Daddy paid you a BUNCH of attention so it was NOT all about me...

You gave them the whole...I am such a stately puppy routine, how am I suppose to get ALL the attention when you are looking so handsome and stately.

OK, so maybe I didn't say my Back Porch..but sheesh, do you have to look so darn cutesy?!!
Now, I was O....K...with all the above...and we still might have gotten along...but I don't know if I can forgive THIS......

Note from the Mama
I was so surprised that Dory was not at all impressed with her Uncle...She was very needy and wanted to be very close to us at all the times. More than once this included "herding" UP away from myself or her Daddy. We made sure to spread the love and not pay attention to Cowboy exclusively...Bilbo on the other hand was like he said, ok, with Cowboy. This should make things next March pretty interesting.
Our Mom says the best time with visitors is when they come and when they go. You showed Cowboy a good time but you were glad to see him go. We understand.

What a great post and commentary from Bilbro and Dory's point of view!!!Excellent JOB!!! Mom and lol while she read it. She can identify with you on a feline level. Our first cat was male he was 7 when my Sis got her 1st cat a female. He and the female kitty got along beautifully. I (Madi) was 3 when my Sis got her 2nd cat a male. I WAS NOT AT ALL HAPPY ABOUT ANY OF THIS. He was in my face, in my food and yes smelling my butt (how cool is that) and IN MY BOX how dare he. Dory we are the Divas of the house and like it that way don't we? Mom came to the conclusion that adult male cats are more accepting of kittens than Adult female cats. Madi

When mom babysits her friend's chihuahua, Lilly won't eat for a week! I, on the other paw, quite enjoy roughhousing with my guests.
ReplyDeleteDory - there's no excuse for this. If UCP returns you need to make sure he follows your rules. If he doesn't... maybe you could just leave the gate open a tiny bit and encourage him to GO exploring.

Dory, I can understand where you are coming from! Puffers gets along famously with everyone but ME. (And I'm good with that too, dang it!) SHE sometimes doggies sits for her friends and silly Puffers loves it when Gator or Sally comes to stay. I, on the other hand, am exceedingly happy when they LEAVE. I wish they'd take Puffers with them! You were gracious enuff with UCP and made him sorta welcome. Family n Fish start to go bad after 3 days, it was time for him to go.

It was super nice to write UCP a letter. We felt the same way when Jack came...He acted just like UCP. When will the hoomans understand that us grown up doggies don't like puppies?

Dory, I am with you on this one sister. No dog and I mean no dog, gets near to my Daddy. He is my Daddy, you go find your own. I will actually run around crying if I have to. I am glad Uncle Cowboy Puppy is safe at his home. I am sure you will be busy getting your yard back to normal and trying to cover any smells he may have left. Cowboy is pretty cute though, will from a distance.

Dory, our mommy kept laughing as she read your letter because she could read through your letter that despite all the rules UCP broke, you also had fun while he was with you.
