Ummm....I just wanted to give you a Rock Bird update....For those puppies that might be a little new to my blog Mommy says if you click HERE you can see what a rock bird is....
(Note from Beth - There is really no such thing as a Rock bird, Dory tends to mistake eggs and rocks. The post linked above will help explain, kind of...If any of the Mommies or Daddies know what kind of bird this is please, please, please let me know)
So anyway, since Mommy is stuck home today (she had her toofies operated on yesterday and is on pills that make her LOOPY) she can't take Moo and Baa around town so she is trying to get better pictures of my rock birdie babies. She is not doing too good...but she did take this one.
Here are a couple of pictures of the Mommy bird feeding her babies

We are just laughing at ourselves now LOL we thought that Rock Bird is a breed of birdies (although we never heard of it, except from you Dory)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the explanation and the update ... we don't know what bird would it be though .. we still think that getting the opportunity to see it in nature is so cool. Wait until they grow a lil big and start to learn how to fly - Our mommy loves to observe that in our garden with the baby birdies that live in nests their mommies build in our trees ... she thinks that it is so beautiful to see the mommies teach them; us on the other hand wish that we can chase them away

I hope your Mommy feels better soon. My Mom has some medicine for her back and giggle giggle, when she takes it I can get away with so much stuff. Don't tell though ok Dory. Your birdy pictures are so cool.

Not to worry - I'm sure that Moo and Baa will get a chance to get the grand tour when your Mom is off her Loopy Pills. (My Mom refers to those pills as 'happy dust pills'!)

ReplyDeleteI had Mom look at the rock bird pictures but she can't see the mama bird well enough to say for certain what type of bird it is, but she believes it's a wren. The eggs are the right color for a wren as well. You could do a search for wren pictures to find out. They are tiny little birds. The male, when courting has a beautiful song, but when the pair is sitting on eggs or protecting young they have an annoying chirp they repeat over and over and over!
