the leaves fall to the ground.

As the wind bellows,

the oranges and yellows

Deer Me

We went for a hike, just Mama and Me

Along a cool lookout, to see what we could see

We heard there were elk, cougars and bears

Mama had warned me we had to beware!

The scenery was pretty, so lush and green

at first Mama missed, what I'd clearly seen

Down in the valley, instead of something to fear

Eating leaves from the bushes were two very cute deer!

Shush Mama, please, don't scare them away

she did as I asked, and there did we stay.

We watched as they carefully climbed the big hill

We watched and we watched and stood very still.

Finally, they were almost as far as we could see,

when I noticed the small deer looking at me.

I barely heard him speak...

Nature Views

  Sitting outside, enjoying the breeze

taking in all the nature I see.

Trees all around us, the sun going down,

Is that a bunny I see, hmm is he brown?

 

A birdy is tweeting a pretty song,

I could sit here all evening long.

Just relaxing and seeing all nature's views.

I just love the outdoors,

The Sea and Me

We have an understanding, the sea and me,

For it is one place I'll never be.

I'll appreciate its beauty, there is no doubt

But I'll do it from the comfort of my comfy couch.

I do love fishies, I must say

but I take them stuffed, and mostly for play

Sometimes I utter a little bark

When Daddy and I play with my squeaky shark.

You see the sea is wet, and this may sound smug,

but it reminds me of sitting in a bath tub!

In closing I'll say, although some won't agree

Until the sea is dry, it will never see me.

Road Trip Fun

Today is National Road Trip Day

A perfect time to have my say!

Last weekend's road trip took us to a farm,

 saw tons of animals,  not a one harmed!

 

Alpacas and sheep, goats and some cows,

getting close to most of them, we were not allowed.

But we did see one animal, that now is my fave,

The memories of them are some I will save.

 

You may have guessed already, by the picture of course,

the animal I speak of must be a horse!

 These girls were special and danced without end,

now I am lucky enough to call them my friends.

 

Stop by Tuesday for something not to miss,

  one of them bent down....and almost gave me a

???

While we are camping,

much to the pawrents dismay,

I can't wait to get up 

and start my day.

 

Watching the sunrise

while Mama drinks her latte,

there is nothing better

to begin my day!

 

Yellows and oranges,

purples and pinks 

There is nothing prettier,

That's what I think.

So if you ever have the chance to 

rise early and watch the sun rise

I say, go for it, even if

it makes your human sigh!

 Reasons to Smile

I have so many reasons to smile,

So sit back and relax, this may take awhile!

 

Mama and Daddy would be at the top,

Snuggles, scritchies, they never stop.

Up next I am thankful for Jakey and Sunny

Then birdies and squirrels, let's not forget bunnies.

WAIT, HALT!

 

I dropped the ball

 I almost forget to mention you all!

Honorary Aunty's all over the planet,

Your love surrounds me like a big warm blanket!

 

Two Weims in France, with adorable nosies

and every Nature Friday they bring me pretty rosies.

 

A big pup in Florida, A kitty in Maryland, 

I have the best friends, there is no comparison!

 

From hiking in Scotland, to adventures in Oceanside,

 Some of you make us laugh 'til we cry.

 

There aren't enough thankfuls in this big wide world,

to tell you all just how much you mean to this girl!

 The weather here in the high desert has been topsy turvy lately.

One day there is nice Autumn weather and the next, it's windy, stormy and yesterday we even had SNOW FLURRIES! Unfortunately, they didn't stick...

 

 

In honor of Halloween and the silly weather I wrote this poem for YAM Aunty's FFF this month:

 

 

Stormy Weather

The skies are dark,

the winds are strong

I bark and bark

like somethings wrong.

 

Mama says shush,

but it's too spooky,

She says nothing's out there,

and I'm acting kooky. 

Daddy says it's just a storm,

and I shouldn't fear

For they are the norm,

this time of year.

But here I will park,

between the door and the wall

and here I will bark,

until the end of Fall!

Under the Sea

What fun it would be 

to live under the sea,

With Nemo, Crush and the Mermaid FiFi.

 

We'd swim around with the turtles 

Be friends with the sharks

We'd see the squid, Squirtle

and stay up after dark.

I'm not sure about dinner tho, what would it be?

No fishies, or crabbies or lobster I eat.

Where are the cookies, the jerky and crunchies?

Looks like I'll have to go home when I get the munchies!

In the house Rosy stumbles

as the thunder gets loud.

 

Mama and I sit on the porch very,very still

Funny brothers in France, and silly kitties galore

Always has Mama smiling more.

Even though there's no snow

or frosty ice to play,

I suppose I will like a nice Spring Day.

 

Spring days will bring

little bunnies who hop around,

and I will get to chase them down.

 

Spring has more sun puddles and warm places

to rest, 

to help me chase more bunnies at my rested best!

Trading snow for Sun at least for awhile,

is a very good reason to have a Spring smile!

My New Backyard

There are many things about moving that were hard, 

First among them was my new backyard.

Would it be fun, would my spirits soar?

It was all that I tell you, and even more!

 

No stairs to climb down, no rain to be had,

all of these things made me so very glad!

The birdies land every where and fly when I run.

 I could stay out all day chasing and never be done.

 

The only sad thing that causes me woe,

is Mama says in 5 or 6 months we'll have to go.

She promises our next new backyard will be even more...

Because she loves seeing my spirit soar!!

Trips in CeCe, oh the places we traveled, 

From Carmel to the desert without

our pawrents becoming unraveled.

 

We saw big trees, and mountains and long windy roads. 

We saw pretty ponds full of loud toads.

 

Such special times we had, my brother Arty and I,

I'm so glad we had them before we had to say goodbye.

 

A new year is upon us, so much to do

A new home, new adventures to look forward to.

 I know we will have so much fun,

But I'll remember Arty and smile as I bask in the sun....
